A multidisciplinary team of health professionals developed this program to improve functional outcomes for geriatric patients following spinal surgery. Geriatric patients are more likely to be homebound and require home care services following spinal surgery. These patients may need a longer recovery due to a slower healing process, impaired cognitive skills, and decreased mobility.
